    Default Methods Of Teaching

We all know that if we want to create good develop country then proper education is needed from the grass root level. The main question is parents and school is giving necessary education to the child?
If we look past then we can find there are different methods of teaching, adopted in different period of history. The earliest method of physical punishment in the case of careless or slow student. The latter method was rewarding the best pupils in the for of marks or prizes. But both this system were defective an element of fear and temptation led to unhealthy competition.
But I saw few different type of teachers convinced that learning was worthwhile for its own sake and that the young learner’s principle interest should be the sheer desire to learn. Interest, direct or indirect, becomes the key word of the instruction and so it has remained.
So what are you thinking ? what’s the proper way to teach a student to create him/her a proper knowledgeable person for future of country ?

i have come across a lot of teachers in my educational career. some where awful, some where ok and only a few were really respectable and admirable. but, i have learnt this thing over time and experience that - the best knowledge and learning comes from self-study. many teachers have tried to teach a subject but i never got interested in it. but when i myself started teaching juniors and for that reason did some intense studies from books and online materials - i realized that books are the best teachers and self-study is the best learning process.

therefore, IMO proper way of teaching is to inspire your students to learn and study themselves from different books and other sources, change their dependability level on teachers - that until someone teaches this - how can i study .... this mentality needs to be changed. i bet even if they realize 99 out of 100 teachers wont do this thing ever - because they want students to depend on them. but real knowledge comes from self-study. this is my very strong opinion on this issue and i alwasy say this.

well again rupu a grt topic to discuss ......

Teaching....one of the most imp. things in our life tht we do.....Teachers as we say are our second parents.....which i believe is totally true....!!!

Teaching in India first n foremost should be free n to all......! I agree with saurav tht self study is the best way to learn n gain knowledge....but we all are guided by the learned ppl called teachers.....!

Teaching basically depends on an individual....there is an individual who can grasp n learn well whereas there is a student who can learn slowly.....!!! so it shud be as per tht individual.....!

I ll give a personal example... my cous is of 5 years n is in USA....hez a lil hyper active as in hez soo damn active tht my aunt has to constantly follow him...as to he neva rests or can sit at a place for mere 5 min. now as per rules we sent him to a pre school where he became naughty n there were some complains as kids in usa r too sensitive....! he is soo fast on grasping things....i remmeber he was in India like when he was 2 yrs n than came back at age of 4 n damn he knew all the roads in my town as to whr whose house it is...! so than thy ve these special teachers n schools for such kids with personal attention n once thy are on track ...he is now sent to his old school.....

so i wud say it depends on the calibre of a student......wht kind of teachings he shud get?
Dont count wat u lost, cherish wat u ve & plan wat to gain...coz past neva returns but future may return the lost! Think-Decide-Act!!!!

The best teaching style is to present things in a way that they understand everything and not the way it is given in books or students can learn their selves. KISS it.

Don't push student to learn things, make it simple that they love learning it and find it interesting..

Yes I quite agree with Nilact. Teaching a child with spanking him/her doesn’t help, they won’t learn anything. They might hate the subject. Teach them nicely and lovingly, they will take the initiative of taking interest in the subject. There is some international school in India like Ascend International School that follow good co-curricular activities (ascendinternational.org/co-curriculum.html) that ensure that children should learn to be pro-active rather than to be a bookworm. So they have highly concerned faculty and a studying module for the child and the current society.
