Both are correct but the second one is constructed better and makes more impact.

There are two plea's in the sentence - kindly and request. When they are together, they do not add up to make a strong case. When separated by few words their presence makes more emphasis.

exactly .. this is the thing i was thinking upon reading NPU's post ... 'request' itself is a plea. i dont think 'kindly' is needed with it.

it could have been as simple as this:

    kindly do the needful

    or

i request you to do the needful

But the law of the punctuation mark states that, there is never a space before a punctuation mark, but there should always be a space after it. This mistake is committed in abundance especially with the colon ( sign. For example, we often see "Name : ". The correct way is "Name: ".

    Your thoughts please.

Good knowledge sharing these are common mistakes... i have seen such mistakes even in formal emails.

This is a common grammer mistake - related to articles (a, an, the).

    - A word that begins with a vowel is to be articled by an or the.
    - Ditto for words whose first letter is silent so that it appears that it begins with a vowel, e.g., honour.
    - For all other words, the articles to be used as a or the.

The first one is obviously wrong.
The second one is sort of borderline. I guess it can be used that way.
