Those are not links to threads. Those are links to single posts.

Silly can have a different meaning of 'not being serious'

My page settings are different. I display 30 posts per page to reduce page numbers - anyone can do that by editing the settings in User CP.

So I am unable to make out which post you are referring to. You should have given a link directly to the post.

OK. The correct way to paste post links is as follows:

a) Go to the post
b) On the header bar of the post, at RHS top corner, post number is mentioned - it is also a hyperlink
c) Right click on it and copy it as "Copy Shortcut" (IE7 terminology)
d) Paste the link in your post. This way, page number references are removed.

For example,
