Wink Is there a Free Software to create Architecture Diagrams

I have been searching for a tool which would help me in creating architecture/program flow of my project. Right now I am using Paint.net to edit the images and then use powerpoint to create those diagrams. I am not referring to UML at all, so if you are gonna suggest ArgoUML might as well drop it . I have tried using that and it did not help me much.

I know visio does this kinda stuff but my trial period just expired and I don't have enough dough to buy visio software. Is there any free alternative available ?

Vikram, its tough to find free softwares for such purposes. even i faced this problem during my previous semester's project. you can get some ideas from the various replies on this page - best tool to create architecture diagrams for software - Stack Overflow

I have a legal copy of Visio 2000. It is older version and I do not use it any more. PM me your address. I will courier the same to you.

Note that it will not have the latest features and will also not open files created in the new versions. But it may suffice your use.

Kivio is an alternative to visio. For that you have to install KDE. Also as Panchbhoot said you can use OpenOffice Draw.
