    Exclamation We are all Indians!

Source- Got this on an Email Today....thought it wud b good to be shared here!

AN AMERICAN VISITED INDIA AND WENT BACK TO AMERICA WHERE HE MET HIS INDIAN FRIEND WHO ASKED HIM

HOW DID U FIND MY COUNTRY?

THE AMERICAN SAID IT IS A GREAT COUNTRY WITH SOLID ANCIENT HISTORY
AND IMMENSELY RICH WITH NATURAL RESOURCES.

THE INDIAN FRIEND THEN ASKED ….

HOW DID U FIND INDIANS …….??

    INDIANS??
    WHO INDIANS??
I DIDNT FIND OR MEET A SINGLE INDIAN
    THERE IN INDIA …….

    WHAT NONSENSE??
WHO ELSE CAN U MEET IN INDIA THEN……??

    THE AMERICAN SAID ……..

IN KASHMIR I MET A KASHMIRI–
    IN PUNJAB A PANJABI—–
    IN BIHAR,MAHARASTRA, BENGAL ,TAMILNADU
    I MET A BIHARI,MARATHI, BENGALI,TAMILIAN………

    THEN I MET
    A MUSLIM,
    A CHRISTIAN,
    A JAIN,
    A BUDDHIST

    AND MANY MANY MANY MORE

BUT NOT A SINGLE INDIAN DID I MEET

    …………………………………………………………..
    THINK HOW SERIOUS THIS IS……………..

THE DAY WOULD NOT BE FAR OFF WHEN INDEED WE WOULD BECOME A COLLECTION OF NATION STATES AS SOME REGIONAL ANTI-NATIONAL POLITICIANS WANT ...

    FIGHT BACK -

    ALWAYS SAY HUM HINDUSTANI/INDIAN HAI……..

    JAI HIND……….

You may like to call herb, not plan
yes you are correct aashaka, i know most of the indian's talk like that only, say i am punjabi, bengali, kashmiri and all that but it is same in most of the parts and its kind of human nature. If you see other parts then also you will find some similar cases like
    I am Scottish
    I am English
    I am Lahori
It depends upon social and intraction circle too, if you are in country and want to show your background then you talk like that, otherwise most of my friends say that i am from India and they if required the state or background comes up.

I think this has to do with where u r when the question about u'r origins is asked. I am sure if u ask an Indian outside India about where he is from he would say he is an Indian. But if the same question is asked to him inside India then he would come out with his region/state etc.
The american in the story (if its a real one) would behave/answer the same way if he was asked the question about his origins inside America. And i don't think Americans can really comment about racialism/regionalism. They had a regional civil war because of racaialism.....Talk about people in glass houses

P.S. the plant/herb in the photo from smoothie would be grass....
My friend has one more such t-shirt. which says
    God made Grass...
    Humans made Beer....

I think you guys are missing the essence...This post actually reflect what exactly is happening in india... Everyone know what happened in maharashtra (That raj thakrey stuff)..I'm not concluding anything that who is right..For me no-one in right.. Ofcourse outside india we called ourselves indian, in india we add our home town but the question here is in some state they actually differentiate people by their hometown and these(raj thakrey) kind of stuff happens...

It depends, If I am talking to an American I say I am from India.
If I am talking to another Indian I say I am from Tamil Nadu.

Once Vincent Arthur Smith said that India is ‘Unity of diversity’ after visiting India obviously if we consider entire India then we will find that India has so many verities. If we consider each and every state then we can see so many languages, verity of dresses, food habit, cultural program and festivals. So apparently some outsider can think that this country’s people are totally divided but that’s not true. Actually in India most of them have multiply identity. Like me I am obviously a Bengali but my biggest identity is I am an Indian. Politicians issue is little different but one think is that if we look India from old age then also some regional was king present from in 1000-500BC and sixteen states present in Aryawat which work independently, in Maghal era also some regional king was present as under the Maghal empire but in the era when India were fighting for freedom that time Indians become so called united and acted together very much. So this type of regional diversity is not new.
Now India has 28 states in the basis of culture & language and each states Government have some internal power but it has the limitation but if we look at US there is most of the states act as almost like free country most of the laws are different in each states like laws in California and Arizona may not be same or even all the state has their different flag also like flag of Virginia & North Carolina is not the same. Only that US has some common laws and agenda & policy and also one common flag for international identity. That mean if we are divided then they are more divided than us.
Problem is most of the Indians are not educated or literate enough that’s why they don’t know how few region can work together for bigger prospect.
