Very good. Cant Rep you now.

I am adding some useful information to this thread.

    How to Donate Eyes:

    Steps:

    1. Notify your friends and family of your noble intentions!
    2. Download, print, and carry an organ donor card.
    3. Make sure it is signed, and you either check the "Donate any needed organs or tissues" box, or you write in "Eyes" if you checked the "Only the following..." box, according to your wishes.
    4. Take the appropriate steps to have your driver's license reflect your desire to donate.
    5. Make sure your desire to donate is reflected in any living will or advanced directives legal document you make.
    6. Consider visiting a local organ donation organization, and discussing with them what you can or should do to make sure your wishes are fulfilled.
    7. Understand that you will be examined post-mortem for whether your organs and tissues qualify (considering your cause of death and the health of your organs/tissue). You should make it known while you are living, however, if you have any conditions or diseases which would make you an unsafe or unviable donor.
    8. Rest a little easier knowing that even if the worst had come to pass, your charity and kindness will live on, and may even restore to someone the gift of sight.

    Tips:

    * Let your relatives know the time in which the organs can be donated after death.
    * Donate blood and marrow while you're living, too- it saves lives.
    * You may even have the fact that you are an organ donor printed on your driver's license.

    Who can donate eyes?
Eye donors could be of any age group or sex.
People who use spectacles-diabetics, patients with high blood pressure, asthma patients and those without communicable diseases can donate eyes.

When does the donation take place?
The surgical removal of the eye tissue is performed soon after the time of death, ensuring the tissue is in the best possible condition for transplant. This also makes sure that the funeral arrangements are not delayed in any way. Because the removal causes no disfiguration, an open casket is still an option for the donor family.

How can I donate my eyes?
There are two very important steps you must take to become a donor. First, sign a pledge form and carry it with you. Second, TALK TO YOUR FAMILY. Let your family members know that you want to bring light to someone’s dark world when you leave this world. Unless your donor card is available at the time of death, your next of kin will be responsible for granting consent. It can be a difficult decision for them if your wishes are not known. Having a discussion about donation with your family is the first step in the effort to restore sight and save lives.

    Can't repo you.

If I'm right, most of us might have already planned or thought about it, and many would have already taken up the procedures. But, it is our relatives who might make it an issue, while our eyes are taken. I have seen quite some instances when the relatives of a dead person does not allow the eyes to be taken. They actually should see that he/she will be living through his own eyes.

By the way, it was really good to have a reminder/notifier for everyone.

Absolutely...Our relative will create scene... I'm kind of optimistic that most of the people from younger generation is willing to donate the eyes (No doubt about it).. But they don't know the exact procedure...

    P.S (Off-Topic)

    Btw where were you busy??
Yes, even-though we ourselves blame us (the new generation) for many reasons, we are still one of the best generations the world (or, shoudl we call it "India" ) has had.
    I am not joking actually.
And, you are right that many are not actually aware about the procedures. And, it's not actually so hard to follow, and just this one procedure we take in our life might actually turn around another person's life.
