Default Enlighten me on this issue please...

Why exactly are we treating that pure heartless murderer, the terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, like a guest... listening to his whims, providing him a lawyer, giving him chicken to eat...is he a hero or something?

As far as i know, there is still a debate going on with his age...ok maybe he is a juvenile but his horrendous deeds would put even an old serial killer to shame...

He did shoot down more than a 100 people with his accomplices on that fateful Mumbai night or were they criminals whom these guys killed?

Am i missing something here guys?
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!

India is not ruled by taliban or some dictator... we have our laws and whatever be the crime we have a legal process in place and we have to go by that... If a criminal appeals about something it is heard by the court and decided upon accordingly..

I dont know where this chicken thing came from ... may be they are allowed to have food from outside untill convicted.

Take it easy my friend even the most dreaded criminals are treated in the same manner as a petty thief. More over in the eyes of law he is still not a criminal... remember : not guilty untill proven guilty is how our legal system works.

He would at the most get a death sentence which is really not enough punishment for what he did...
I can bet you any money that if he instead of taking money from his organization .. if he would have just come to mumbai and started begging infront of the gate way of india he would have made the same amount by now...

Pakistan has gone to the dogs really.. The very dogs they have been feeding all this while are biting their own hands now

    Have fun..

No bro..You're not missing anything... It's just we follow the motto "Athithi Devo Bhav" ...
He's getting "Chincken tandoori" while Varun gandhi gets "Lauki".. That's varun gandhi's comment...What's happening ?? I read somewhere that no lawyer is attending him that's why this much delay(Which lawyer want to stand with him ), Also there were doubt about his age.. I mean WTF it's medical age, Get a dental sample ,Hair Sample etc and find out his age.. And as PunchsucKr mentioned "So what if he's juvenile, He's a murderer.." I agree with him..There shouldn't be no delay in that now...

Yes you are putting across a valid point. But you know Admin, i think he is gonna be released after some years of trials...it will all eventually fizzle out and he would be sent to his 'hometown' or just lie around here...

Look at the terrorist who carried out his mission on the Indian Parliament House for goodness sakes! He is still 'waiting' to be hanged...its been years now! nobody has the guts in this government to hang a criminal, and now the issue is just so under wraps that there's not even a single whisper about it...
And i firmly believe this is what will happen with this fellow.

    Thanks for the post gothic.

Afzal Guru's case is a really bad example of decay of Indian politics. Afraid of the blame, even A P J Abdul Kalam failed to do his duty.

But this Ajmal's case is different. The whole world is watching. We have to prove that we are better than these terrorists, who themselves decides who is right and wrong and behead people.

We are holding a fair trail. We will listen to every justification he has to say. I don't think those will stop from successfully convicting him. Evidence against him is overwhelming. The lawyer who presents his arguments should be seen as the best citizen of India, who to perform his duty, doesn't care to treated as a terrorist's friend.

But after conviction, will he be treated as Afzal Guru, quite possible. Let us wait. We are so good at it.

Well accepted that our country has laws & it follows it. But i think we as country should be able to make some exceptions. yes, how can we feed luxury food to a man who just banged us in our back (i wonder if Kasab has ever received such luxury treatment in Pakistan) I don't know abt the laws & i don't give a damn. We can atleast expect very fast action in this case. I mean its matter of the National security & pride. fu*k everything else.

And i believe the same thing, i mean the facts are there for all to see... hence the frustration and this thread.

The increasing crime rate of the country is a direct consequence of this in competency of the indian government and legal system.

There are instances in Dwarka (where i live), of daylight crimes, kidnapping a woman in broad daylight, looting her, threatening to kill her, then dropping her off at some remore location! And this kidnapping happened right in front of my society! And this is just one of the many such cases....

We can't even have a carefree walk here...being in a car is the only choice here and its the safest one can get on the roads here.
