Thread: Whats Yard For?

I dont quite understand what is this yard section for??

Isn't it similar to general off topic, where everyone has been posting since long?

Its kind of spam section. Some forum games and other fun discussions. also, some inappropriate threads not fitting anywhere in the forum and making not much sense are moved to yard by mods.

Nope yard is not Gen Offtopic section, it is just a place where we can park all the useless threads, games threads and the threads which are just ment for quick fun.

Threads parked in Yard can be deleted anytime without any warning.

Then chaat thread should be here then, shouldn't it?

Its not chaat thread, its chat thread and its there in Yard

I did not delete the threads in Yard because:

a) They make an interesting reading. Check this one: http://www.indiabroadband.net/yard/1...r-threads.html. Go thru the entire thread and see how funny it appears.

b) If I or anyone else (mass) deleted the threads/post, the post count will drop by a fantastic rate. For example, suppose I deleted the following posts:

Ban The Person Above You
Chat Thread
Dream Cricket Team Winner!!!
Guess the movie name
The Choice Game
Thread of Offtopic posts removed from other threads

the stats will show as follows:

I soft-deleted the threads that I mentioned. I took a screen cap of before and after. Afterward, I undeleted the said threads.

when the post count fell , I was really surpised that it didn't show zero , after all those spam posts were deleted or whatever u did

The above effect was just after deleting about five/six threads. Imagine the effect if all the threads in this section are deleted?

if that had happened then no problem to anyone because all would start again form "0" . Now i realized how much i have spammed 200 spams in just 2000 posts

these threads as spam. They are nice games specially movie name guessing and requires some thinking rather than blind posting.

The stats would show major changes if 18lama's game thread were deleted.
