    Default Is anyone happy?

I want to know the name of one man/woman who is happy with a product he/she has bought/subscribed/Ordered! It can be anything from a soap to a computer, cable connection to DTH,or anything else...
    Conditions:-

    • Difficulty in Buying/Subscribing/Procuring
    • Advertisement vs. Fact
    • After Sales Service
    • Quality
    • Features, etc

No I am not unhappy with everything, but It seems I am going to be, and I see all around me people unhappy with any and everything they buy. Even the Admin is unhappy with Whirlpool! Go to any Discussion forum, Phone, Broadband, anything, and you'll see hoards of people complaining! So I wondered how many people are actually happy with something they buy. Do Companies give a damn anymore about customers or is it only money for them? That, my friend is the point of the thread!

Generally, I deal with such situations in a very simple way.
If the cost involved is not very significant, I just chuck the unsatisfactory product in the garbage and forget about it.

If the cost involved is significant, the of course I become unhappy. And when I become unhappy, I just try to make sure that my friends in the Income Tax and Central Excise Dept make the supplier very very unhappy. So far this has solved the problem always.

Well everybody is not as lucky as you, to have friends in the excise and and Income tax, and then we can only be unhappy, and try to solve the matter through the company!
    I'll tell you two incidents:
    1. Angel Broking: I deposited Rs. 2000 thorugh Cheque but they misplaced it or did something I don't know, the money was deducted from the bank. Angel Broking refused. They charged interest, they asked us to show them proof, on showing the passbook which showed that the money was credited to Angel Broking, they wanted me to go to the bank and ask them which a/c of Angel the money was deposited. The bank would not tell me this. I talked to head office of Angel, they said they'll look into the matter. Ofcourse, nothing happened. I complained to SEBI. No action was taken! I lost 2000, had to deposit 2000 again, PLUS was charged 500+ interest.

    2. ICI Dulux: I bought paint, colored my room. Color was bad, and came out to be patchy, looked YUCK on my walls! I complained in the shop, shopkeeper said to contact company. Did that, Two men came, Saw the wall, asked stupid questions. First they said, did the painters follow the instructions on the Pack, when i said yes, he said Did they mix 600ml water,I asked how much should be mixed they said not more than 250ml despite 600ml mentioned on the Pack(!). They said pack instructions were mistake. Why in the first place then they asked me whether painters had followed them when they were wrong? So, they went away and never replied.

    What do you say?

Should never have gone back to the same broking firm. If you had threatened to close the account and take your account elsewhere, they would have resolved the issue. (provided you are a regular trader in the stock market). And it is always advisable to go for reputed broking firms with ECS options.

Did you ask the people who visited your house to give in writing what they said (that the instructions on the pack are wrong)

See, I have lost almost half the money I invested so leaving them was not an option! and they too could play with us knowing exactly this fact. Though I feel, otherwise too, they wouldn't have cared!
For the ICI thing, what would a writing do? Compare with the problem above, I have everything in writing, but still I lose! BTW I lost more than 6000 on the ICI thing. Not counting the call charges for the infinite calls I had to make in both the cases!

People with resources and Time can pursue any case until justice is done, but in case of people who don't have one or the other or both, it's simply impossible isn't it?

Consider this:Admin sued Whirlpool and won, Contrast with this: A poor man came to Kolkata to cure his child of some stomach problem and left for his home with the dead body MINUS BOTH the KIDNEYS(!). What do you think?

Precisely these things forced me to create this thread and ask everyone whether anyone is happy with something they bought!

Therein lies the problem with Indians. They crib and crib and do nothing
to improve anything. Not particularly directing this to the OP but
this is my general observation IMHO.

That I know, I wasn't here asking for help. I perfectly and honestly accept that given time I could solve both the problems. What I intended by this thread was to check whether there are companies which atleast honest!
Why would I have had problems if the representatives of both the companies were least honest and not pieces of crap! I want to know, if there still exists a company which cares for its customers! You get the point?

I know problems can be solved, and I am not here to crib or ask for help! I myself am of the same opinion about such people. I am not one of them!

Hey you just can't let these cheaters go away. Compliant about it on Welcome to ICI Dulux. Write your experience in details and tell them if it's not addressed you'd lodge a complaint in consumer forum. I don't know whether they will really hear you or not...but you'll get a bit satisfaction.

    A very good thread!

i am unhappy with everything except for my airtel connection and a sony wega tv. i was unhappy even with the tv at first, but then i compared it to an lg at my friend's place and the difference in picture quality was stark as well with the audio and even the remote (its responsive even to a feather touch). (i dint tell him though ).

so i'm happy with it now. some 2k bucks extra and lots of time researching, well spent.

2Lliter engine is nothing to scoff at. I think Lotus made a 2L that
    put out 300 horsepower ;-)

Most (95%) of the stuff I purchased, I have been happy with. As far as the 5%, you can't win all the time.

First of all, sorry for bumping an old thread, and 2nd to you,
Do the companies come and tell me that I'll not be happy with their product, It's only after I buy them I realize how bad they are!

Someone mentioned a Wega, its base model is trash, even lowest end Samsung have more features and better pic quality!

well my wega has a trinitron picture tube which was stopped shortly after i bought the model in 2006. the picture quality is better than a samsung or an lg yes it lacks in features which are present in a samsung but at the end of the day it is the picture u watch on a tv. n may i tell u that i am not stupidly stating about it for no reason.

the picture is absolutely flat even at the corners, while in other 'flat' TVs, i found the picture to be noticably curved at the corners. the sound is great as well. i dont have any issues with it. while i dont know and dont care about wegas after 2006.
