Offtopic (and apologies):

I know that we should be proud of our lakhs and crores but the representation is askew out system.

In the western system, the comma appears after every third digit starting from right to left of the decimal point, e.g.,

10,000,000

1,000,000,000

But our system has the first comma after first 3 digits and then a comma after every 2 digits:

10,000
1,00,000
10,00,000
1,00,00,000
10,00,00,000
1,00,00,00,000

This causes big problem in representing the numbers in computer systems.

But don't you think our system is more effective. I mean one can easily guess that is one crore after seeing a comma after one i.e.1,00,00,000 rather than 10,000,000.

thats not our fault, they designed the software to suit their system.

obviously they don't have to worry abt crores,only we do...
