Think that our former railway minister and current railway minister are traveling in the same train and the train meets an accident.

I could say the common man who travels by the trains.
But that would not be politically correct.

I don't understand why railway ministers are always from Bihar or Bengal... I guess enough trains/projects are running in these two states...

If both die, hopefully railway infrastructure in other parts of India will survive...

yes I think in Maharasstra has some railway infrastructure development needed

.Did you know Bengal never get railway minister more than 1 and half year in last 62 years(not even full 5 year)
you are saying Bengals get railways minister very often

This time Mamata's vision is WB assembly election 2011 not railway ministry
Other part of India railway infrastructure is not so bad I have visited every state (except few NE states and Gujarat) by train.
But still I think Mumbai need more development from railway point of view.

I thought Mamta was railway minister earlier too... Don't know about her tenure... But I don't think west-bengal lags in railway...

yes Mamata was earlier railway minister(only railway minister from WB) but only for 1 and half year(Sep'99 to Mar'01) she withdrawn support from NDA in 2001 in the issue of Tehelka.

Howrah gets the priority in railway prospective even before independence because it's
1.Geographical location(extreme east locationso exprees train if start to jurney from Howrah it can cover entire country. As a example like Patna-New Delhi Rajdhani will never cover WB or Howrah but Howrah-Rajdhani express will cover Bihar and Patna)

2.Kolkata was the former capital of India so british also give some priority to Howrah.

But I still think in North Bengal did not have much good infrastructure in rail and some local train problem is present in WB.
We did not have good train for Bangalore. (Only Yasvantpur Exp which is not so good )

I don't think so country will survive without politician.Politicians are coming from our society if they did something wrong then we have to accept that our society also have same problem.
I don't know about other state but in case our state Mamata did lots of movement.Sometimes she right sometimes she did wrong but i think she tried to do something.Just remember left parties Govt. ruling this state for 32 years.also this left parties are very strong in this state. What she can do much for state ?
