I have got good marks in viva of lab. & good marks in interviews of colleges.

OK, It's different in school/college
In the real professional world it is not easy to intimidate the interviewer,
and it would also be counter productive to try to intimidate the interviewer.

Has anyone been asked this question: "Why do you want to work with us?"

That really gets my goat...@Farce: you were asking me the other day...what gets my goat? this does.

I was asked this question by a potential employer who had contacted me after he had gone through my resume on naukri.com...I was thinking WTF...why are you even asking me this?..you approached me, I did not specifically apply for a job at your place. :lol:

going through a list of standard questions he was supposed to ask.

But that interviewer was not a regular HR recruiter...he was a senior Architect and the proprietor of his own firm...

What kind of non technical questions do you expect from a technical guy?

^ hehe...you see when an Architect or an Interior Designer attain seniority they also suffer from bouts of absent mindedness. Generally this begins after the age of 30! I still have 3 years

This is true in 95% cases. May be that fellow was also going through the same.
