well even friendship is a relationship. people we meet on daily basis and interact with are just acquaintances but people whom we can trust, who guide us for our benefit with no ulterior motive and who are there for us when we need them are called frens.

Plus friends don't need any rituals to maintain/remind of friendship (in ur words relationship)..

Defition of relationship - an emotional or other connection between people.

And if we dont need reminding we should not celebrate frenship day ;-). rakshabandhan or frenship day is not reminding people something. its more like showing gratitude for being there as a fren or a brother/sister.

but as i said all have their own views.

I have a very close friend... We didn't even send SMS to wish each other on friendship day... Still I'm sure whenevr we'll meet, we won't remember it...

but suppose if I do that with my sis (I don't have any) on Rakshabandhan.... She will mind it...

Every relationship starts and goes on with rituals... Friendship need not!

i dont think so be it rakshabandhan or no rakshabandhan u cant ever deny the fact she is (supposse u have one) ur sis and u are her brother. even i dont have a brother of my own do have cousins and they all are different places i dont even have 2 of my cousins phone number or mail ids but for them i wil always be their cousins sis and for me they are my brothers. :-). a sister or a brother wish her/his sibling to be happy and stay safe thats wat matters. rakshabandhan is just a mode to show we care like frenship day or fathers day or mothers day even without these days people related to us will care for us
