Default How Durable is TouchScreen technology?

Its been long since touch screen devices have been launched.Every consumer now has an access to it.

But I have not bought any touch screen device/gadget till date.I just wonder "are touch screens really durable" ?

By looking at them I really find them very "delicate" !

Please tell me your experience with your touchscreen device.Whether they are easy to handle or not etc. etc.So that I can look forward to this technology in future

Well, it depends how we handle it. I have been using touch screen phones for past 3-4 years. I find it very easy to use as compared to the phones with keypad. Regarding durability, it also depends on the quality of the product. A china/Korean made touch screen phone may not be as durable as compared to Apple i-phone, hTc or other such phones.

How would you know that they did not repair/replace it within the last eight years?

They might have repaired it but they didn't replaced it as that screen is not available. I have not written that they didn't repaired it. CRT touch screens had much longer life.

    I don't think so.

Infact, it makes many tasks easier.

The only disadvantage I find in them is that they have to be handled with a hell lot of care.
