I feel so dejected and frustrated.

Here in India as well we are about to get something like that in an year or so, Tata Indicom broadband has lauched 10Mbps, 20Mbps and 100Mbps Wimax plans in market but its just bit expensive right now, here is the link to all plans which tata launched

100 Mbps speed with 10 GB download limit. Are they kidding. By the ways its too expensive.

this really saddened me because i have been using broadband since 2006,reading news about how people abroad have greater speeds.

i am going to get busy with my life in a year or 2 and wont be able to surf as much as i do now,i really hoped to have a real broadband connection with atleast 1mbps at affordable price so i would have enjoyed it all these years....but alaas it didint happen nor its going to happen any soon.....its not a fairy tale ending:surrender:

I think things are getting a little better now with one company or the other coming up with new plans with better speeds and lower prices.
I applied for this new tata plan which has for 750kbps speed and on sundays and during the night I would get 1.5mbps and it is going to cost me Rs1750 per month... although its a lot more then I would actually like to pay for this connection but think about two years ago or even a year ago..

Indian isp scene is changing but at a bit slower pace then it should be. If 3g prices come down sharply then every isp will be compelled to bring their prices down as well.

we only need one private company to decrease broadband cost.

may be in 2010 we enjoy 1mbps in Rs 1000.

I am not taking a negative outlook. It was a momentary lapse.

i guess we have that technology to get the speeds as europe & us. thing is like, the ISPs wanna wash hands in profit as long as there is time & no big competetion. we only need some biggy in internet to come to india & to complete hard. this will definately make difference.

I am about to subscribe for this 1.5Mbps plan now and will update the performance very soon, i did ask them about 100Mbps connection but it is not available in my area, seems like i am really not lucky enough to enjoy that much speed so soon.
