Default Is the Advert in the first post a new feature?

Recently, I am noticing an Advertisement in the first post of every thread I visit.
Is this a newly feature added by Admin or is something wrong with my computer?

This is the first time I'm viewing the banner in the forum. I suggest you to clear the browser's cache, cookies, temp files, etc.

lol... I just double checked... it's there indeed in all the threads... actually my firefox addon was blocking it...

However, I have disabled that add-on and clicked couple of times on the banners as a token of love for this forum.

I too noticed. Seems it is not based on pay per click. It is about no of views I think.

I thought some one was trying to marry as I am getting Shaadi.com ad in my post. Does it affect privacy statement or not?

That is already covered in the privacy pilicy we have here : http://www.indiabroadband.net/sugges...statement.html (Privacy Statement)

Please let me know if you feel something is not covered.

We've never had ads for members... it was a mistake I forgot to put if conditions in those ads and thats why all members were seeing the ads as well.
I have added the required if conditions so its working fine now and no ads for members.

It is covered. I wanted to know if google is also the the partner of current ads which is seen by nonmembers?

If not then it can be included in the list given at bottom of the first post there.

By using this website, you agree that both the webserver, and any trusted 3rd party we chose, such as advertising networks, may place a tracking cookie on your machine and access it at any time during your session.
    This statement covers it.

Guests are not entitled to any privacy - they are private anyway. We do not collect any of their data.

As far as ad's appearing on pages (in case of registered members), I do not see that - either in IE7/8 or Firefox.

But it would be good idea to add the stuff about ad's in privacy statement just in case.
