    Default Ideas for Diwali Gifts

Ok people Diwali is coming and a time to gift items to friends and family! This year I dont want to give the typical gifts like dry fruits or biscuit hampers, as its too common!

What would you suggest as Diwali gifts?

Any price range would do, as it would be given according to whether its for friends and family, so all suggestions welcome.

Hope this thread doesn't get left behind, as I dont have any replies yet!!!!!

Was expecting some from J4K and Farce, as they have good ideas!

    1. Since you fly a lot, you could get good ties for the men folk and scarves for the ladies. Shop: The Tie Rack

    2. Music CDs for adults / Toys for children - selection as per the preferences/age

    3. Clothes - every one loves them.

    4. If the gift is for one or two families alone - a Hookah as a showpiece.

Ouch! Too expensive - if this was for one or two families, it would have been alright.

Next year they will expect the same thing - but this time filled with (real) diamonds, jewels, rubies, etc.

Don't worry about the Rs1300. Get it, then rub it and when the
genie appears ask for 7 more for the other families ;-)

Sweets in India are kind of avoided now (well in India), because of the bad mixing and all and people complaining of having too much of sweets on Diwali, and plus its too common!

So that's why wanting to go for something different!

You can even consider Silver Laxmi Ganesh Coin as unique gift, a small 10 gram coin will cost you around 600 or 700 rupees.

Swastik wall hanging is another unique thing which you can consider and should not cost more than 400 rupees.

If you don't like normal sweets like burfee, laddoo then check kaaju katli (kaaju burfee)

Diwali is festival of lights so can gift electric lamps/ lanterns (like night lamps or something), designer candles are also unique and nice.
