Thread: www.indiabroadband.net change of ownership

Hi Members,

Its been a wonderful journey through the years with some of you being with me for more then 4 years now but I guess its time to say good bye now and make room for some one who can run this site better and take it to the next level.

I have been in talks with the to be owners for the last one month and the deal has been finalized and this website will be taken over by the new owners on Monday the 12th of October.

Some of you would ask why did I sell the website which I built working day and night through the years... well I was not doing any good to the site and was not able to contribute for more then a year now so I though it was time to move on and work on a new project which I have been working on for the last year and a half.

About the new owners: I will leave it to the new owners to introduce themselves but all I can say is that the company which bought this site is a well established experienced company and has resources to expand this website to greater heights.

I would still be around when I get some time but wont be the Admin any more Will create a new id... Please send me a friend request to my new id as I would like to stay connected to all of you.

Dear Admin

I will call you the real Admin of this site, for you being the whole-soul of the forum for all these years.. I how so had joined the site, for not more than a year, but the experiences with you will never be forgotten all my life...
In this short part of online life@ibf , i learnt how to behave online(from you and J4K). The forum was always a boon to those who came up with troubles, and the case was same for me too, but i ended up in joining and becoming a regular in your forum...


I liked to post irrelevant posts/threads, spammed like hell, but i am always happy side that i had an Admin who can/could handle the things dynamically and without indulging into adamant discipline, though sometimes and for the case of some special members i kept an issue with you and many times i highlighted this to you, in the fear of getting disciplinary action against me but you were you and thats a basic character of any Admin ..


Now that you are not into the working part of this forum, and we wont see any Parminder Chahal giving out infractions to Mickey for his bogus comments, inclusion in Global Ignore lists, and many other sweet and sour experiences any more with you, I too have decided to log out of this site as there is nothing much left without you..


We will like to see another site from you very soon...

I may offer to resign as mod - mainly so that the new management can take independent decisions.

Don't you think it is a bit premature? You don't know anything about
the new owners. Maybe you'll like them. I plan to stick around and
check them out, I'll quit if it was Jatinder who has bought this site ;-)

I am not having a good feeling about this new ownership. Anybody can do anything, but doing something with your soul is possible only by a few people.

Can I know what your next project is about.......
I mean web based or something other then that.

A change with anything can be difficult to digest. But an effort must be made to digest. Everyone does have their gastric juices - it is matter of chewing properly. ;-) (F style)

I will be a regular here for sure and may be a little more then before I have got no idea what the changes would be but be assured that this forum will grow a lot more then it has in the past and will keep growing.

Admin, first of all, I would like to congratulate you on creating and maintaining this forum which is undoubtedly one of the top Indian forums. You have made some wise decisions along the way too. I hope new owners will take it from where you are leaving and continue in the same vain.

It will be interesting to see the changes they can bring to our beloved forum. I'm glad that you're gonna stick around as a member (starting with zero rep points ). I love your witty comments.

Change of ownership is bit sad, I spent a nice time here as an Moderator but that title is not there with any anymore so no more infractions from my side

As all of you may have noticed, I no more have the special colour to my username (I am also no more a moderator at this site).

The new management will now take their own independant decisions.

So guys who have been pissed with me in the past - rejoice. No more infractions/banning/deleting posts from my side.

Trivia: I adopted the title "Guardian Angel" as soon as user titles were enabled. I never ever thought of changing it anytime but I am now giving it up.

Who are the new owners?

Come on new owners show yourselves.......

Revoking the moderator privileges was not necessary. It was earned by the senior members here by their contribution to the forum.

Does not look like it. Anyway Harpreet is managing that and I suspect that she will be willing to hold on a little longer.

Admin jee, it was nice that you started the forum, will thank you for that. You have done a really good job here. I hope you did not sell this place because of Suzlon

Anyways, i wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavours.

PS: i hope you made a LOT of money as the rep that indiabroadband had was worth LOTTTTT (i see Rs1cr+ on some online cals, hehe too personal i guess )

i do agree. All the mods deserve to be mods. hope admin can work on that as a part of the deal. They did a really good job. They in a way own the forum too.
