Today we see 100's of torrent sites like DesiTorrents, BwTorrents etc and i even have account on both and others.

I see that almost everything is available for free, but i just wonder that when everyone knows this ,why no action is taken by authorities to stop piracy?

The problem is the scale of this torrent empire. There are countries in EU taking very strict approach but the number of people using torrents to download illegally is such that it is not possible to prosecute every one and a few who have been slapped with fines did not act as much of a deterrent.

I think torrents are here to stay for some time and it is the companies who would have to find out a way to monetize this mode of distribution.

torrents are uploaded by the users, and downloaded by other users. The companies act only as a server to store the huge torrent files in their database. Also the speed which we get while downloading the torrents is because of the seeding done by other users.

There are googles of torrents on each website, most of them are illegal while most are original, and each torrents have 2 - 3 similar torrents uploaded by other users. So it is difficult to differenciate between legal and illegal torrents. Most uploaders use torrents engine to upload legal and their own original creations on it. for eg. All Wallpapers Free | The Best HQ Wallpapers and Pictures Collection this blog owner uploads all his original creations on the torrents which are totally legal.

As the admin told, in the EU countries illegal torrents are banned. My frnd from Canada told that, in Canada only downloading from the legal torrent engine like demonoid is allowed.

The SD Engineer from BSNL asked me when I was using Home500 plan, "This month 90GB usage, next month how much?", he also said, "Kitna Download karega torrents se, BSNL par to daya kar" , so its the SD Engineer from BSNL also knows abt the torrent engine.

I've a suggestion......y don't u learn some hindi farcee.
i mean look at this........u both have occupied 8 posts of this topic w/o any reason. its natural that ppl arnd here gonna talk in hindi. just a frndly suggestion.

back to topic......i never used torrents. i never really got the torrent concept. i tried it once, but coz of the crap speed ......i quited. i feel quite ok with RS.

Usko bolana......govt officcers har mahine dher sara paisa khate hain to hum kuch bhi nahi bolate. humne thode bahot MBs kha liye to kya aafat aa gayi

I have a friendly suggestion too ;-) why can't you Hindi guys learn
to communicate in English in a multicultural, multilanguage, multicountry
environment ;-)

i don't get ur point......y r u giving so many proofs & explanations. easy, ur not at war. have u gone through my posts. if not, kindly go through. 99% of time i am using english. seldom i have used the hindi. i never used the hindi in technical section. its like sometimes just for fun i use hindi. i don't like the approach of ppl "feel proud abt not knowing hindi."
