Thread: What should we pronounce?

hi!

i just came over a thread where a member wrote AN UPS.

now i came to study in school that before a vowel we put AN.

But here AN doesn't seem to be right.

the word is UPS but sound is of YOUPS.

i am confused.What should we say?

A UPS or AN UPS?
