    Default Trafic police at NewDelhi

A few days ago I went to the domestic airport to drop of a friend who had to take a flight and on the way back I just pulled on the side to attend a phone call and a thulla turns up saying madam bahar nikal ke liscence dekhaao
I completed my call and came out of my car showed him my liscence and he said insurance and this and that and once everything was ok he said you parked in a no parking zone so there will be a challan for that.

I said how much is it he said Rs100 for improper parking and me being pissed off already started shouting at him asking him why he wasted so much time asking for all the papers when this was only about Rs100. I refused to pay up and I took my liscence from him as well.
There were so many cars there and I had only pulled up for a min and didint even turn the engine off and that is a drop off place at the airport. I told him to F off and just pulled out of that place.

    That's brave.
had you been a Boy , the scene would have been different altogether.

But Thullas are like that, if they have stopped you they are gonna fine you.
Even if they find nothing problematic or so, they'll say "Number Plate sahi nahi hai" or "pollution ke kagaz ahi nahi hai, iska to challan hai"

Lol... this reminds me about an incident in Pune. When my bhaabhi was driving the car and a traffic inspector came asking why the Windows of the Car are Black. She replied "Sirf paise khaane ko kaam karte ho tumlog.." (You guys work only for the bribes).. Poor inspector just ran away...

Yes, a male can never dare to speak the truth as balantly as her and Preeti in front of these Maamus.

Also, it was wrong on the part of the traffic inspector because Preeti never technically parked the car as she was still sitting in the car even if Engine would have been turned OFF... He should have just requested to move on if it was a no parking area.

    Bravo, Preeti.

    good work.

yeah i remember when we go to chandigarh, almost everytime the police stops us.

once he said that why u have stereo on???(it was not loud)

And once he said u r at high beam(many were at high beam)
the police looks the number plate and if that number is of another state or city they stop us.

In Bangalore, the traffic police is more professional than any other parts of India. They will slap fine if you've broken a rule. Also, they will issue the ticket (chalan). Hence, you know that the money is going in the government coffers. Yesterday I was caught attending a call on my cell while driving. They charged my 100 bucks (bargained down from the actual Rs. 500 ) and issued the ticket.

Once, I remember that I was not using the seat belt. The traffic police at the signal just told me to tie it and went away.
