Thumbs down I hate marketing guys...

Today I had gone for a movie at a mall in bangalore..... there Samsung had a big stall setup with all their latest phones (Omnia 2 and so on..) and they were on display.

They also had a contest going on, they had about 8 phones (all high end) and a person is suppose to guess which phone it is "blindfolded". So yea, the winner gets a pen or something....

anyways, I actually got really pissed off...why ? because when I asked some guys at Samsung some time back (via fren's dad) for a sample for reviewing, they said "Its hard for us to give you a sample, we cant sell it after its open" - my question is when you open so many samples up for such a silly event, why cant you send the same samples after such events to reviewers ? I sometimes really dont get these marketing guys....same thing at HP too....really pissing off...

There are people who receive new gadgets and mobile phones which they dont have to return so they can write a review in newspapers or blog whatever they run.. It really depends on how much audience you have. I personally think that instead of paying so much to mainstream media companies should start spending a tiny bit on bloggers and such as well... The ROI would be far greater as compared to TV ads or billboards.

I know a few people but they are not my friends, just know them because some of them are clients.

The best thing to do is make yourself big enough so those people you are running after will start searching for ways to get in touch with you instead

Traffic, traffic and more traffic is the key to success in this field. An extremely good review of yours is of no use if it cannot be found by those searching for it... On the other hand a crappy poorly written review but pimped up with kickass seo would bring you tons of traffic... So you know where you need to work Just keep working hard and you will get there soon...
