Thread: Please Help, Nokia Strange Problem..???

This is my think the most difficult problem till now in techie things.

Now the problem is :-

I have Nokia 5230.

I was using Tata Docomo since the day it was launched, i used it in my Motorola L9 and it was working all good.

Now i got Nokia 5230 and was using Docomo in 5230.

After some days i updated my phone firmware to v20 and since that day i was having problems called Connection Error when i tried to call. So from that day,people can't call me/message me/ or vice versa.

Now the strange thing is GPRS works 24/7 but i can't call or vice versa things.

So i did 2 things :-

Interchanged Sim Cards, i put Docomo in Motorola and Reliance in Nokia now the thing is BOTH ARE WORKING FINE!!!!!

IDK why, but Docomo works fine in MOTOROLA, and RELIANCE works fine in NOKIA but DOCOMO DOES NOT WORK IN NOKIA (except GPRS).

I can't interchange sim cards to repective phones, because i got 5230 only for GPRS and i use GPRS whole day and i need Docomo to work.

1) There must be a network issue with the Docomo sim card.call the customer care and file a complaint.

2) If that doesn't work,the best thing would be to take it to the nearest Nokia Care and they will reinstall the phone firmware and if there is any other issue,they'll sort it out.


3) Before anything happens back up your contacts,messages,photos and media,you can restore it later.

But Docomo works in all other mobiles!!

If i take it to their customer care i.e Docomo, they will insert in some random phone and will say look its working.

& i did Hard Rest/Soft Reset/Re-Installed Firmware 2 times but same problem.

Went to Nokia centre, they did hard reset/, next time they took phone and said they fixed something idk what.... but after that the same problem.

thats why i dont do anything which i dont know...


thats sad, your calling is locked for docomo mobile, you need to go to nokia centre...

this happened with my nokia 3110c (twice) with vodafone sim..

your calling is locked for docomo mobile???? what does it mean????

How calling can be locked??? I get strange Connection Error when i try to call any one.
