Thread: Nokia Trying to Cheat Me!!

Hi

MY battery kinda drains in just a day, without me using the phone even once.

Yesterday evening i charged my mobile to full battery, used it for sometime (5-10 minutes) than later slept, in morning i saw that batter was 0.

I went to Nokia Service Centre :-

They said that you have to format your Phone Memory and Memory Card, i said WTF!!!!

Why?? They said because some apps were running.....I said my phone does not show that any apps is running, bluethooth is off, so does GPS and all other apps but they still say you have to format both phone and memory card.

They are not willing to change my battery.

SO Can i tell them to give this in written???

In written that whenever some one comes with battery problems, you format their phone and memory card first???

Should i take video of our conversation and some some police complain?????

Yes. I meant consumer court.

There are specific procedures that you need to follow when filing a consumer court case. Please vist their web site.

have been facing a lot of issues with the Nokia 3110c....poor reception issue and random switch off.....have taken it to service center 8 times already (inside 6 months of buying it) and they refuse to replace it or give me an upgrade (i am ready to pay)

My Brother too experienced the same problem that you are having now..
He own a Nokia 3500c and the battery use to drain within a half a day.. The problem was that he was using custom screensaver like flash images as for clock..
After he disabled it and set the default date and time screensaver the problem went off...
If you have not set any Flash screen saver or anything like that means, please give us some detail like mobile model no etc...

i did not put any screen saver stuff, i have Nokia 5230 with Symbian 5th Edition.

Today i went to service centre again, and they said the same thing that you have to reset your phone and Memory Card.

But this time i said Give me in written, they said how, than i said to them, i will write the details, you sign in and i will just take a small video clip with you saying that if battery drains quickly, you guys first format phone and Memory Card.

But she refused to do it and finally took my battery and i will get new one within a week.

if your friends have any battery same as your mobile has.. Give it a try before buying a new one...

i think, you can just ask them to change them your battery, or tell them that you are going to the consumer court and see what they reply back
