Thread: Thank you all - scaled 10k

With this thread/post, today I have reached the milestone of 10,000 posts. It has been a wonderful journey which started on 20-Dec-2007 (my birthday coincidently).

I came to this forum looking for a solution to connect my Linksys WRT54-G and configure it. And this the thread that helped me ...

I decided to join the forum that day and contribute here and there myself. I never ever thought that I will become so addicted here. Over the years, I met many new friends. Some have left voluntarily. Some regretably had a difference of opinion with me and left. With a few, I (hope to) have patched up. But many good friends still remain here.

I am very thankful to Parminder for having created this whole website. Although he has sold it off, he continues his association and that is great.

I have been a moderator here from Sep, 2008 till Sep, 2009 and then again from May, 2010. During my moderatorship, I may have sometimes been excessive or dictatorial. If I have hurt someone, I sincerely beg forgiveness. The intention was not to hurt anyone's ego but bring all to a common ground. Had such conversations been in person, any such misunderstandings are avoided. But written communication is always read with the reader's tone of mind.

Finally there were certain incidents that happened on Aug 24/25, 2008, which should have never happened. That period was one of the saddest period of my IBF life. But there is no point in dwelling on the past again unless it is something that we take it as a learning process.

Be it as it may, I wish everyone a great success in life to all members present and past. As Spock would say - "Live long and prosper".

congrats j4k, it is indeed a big achievement. You are an asset to this forum and would be to any other forum as well.

I hope I get to meet you some day and check out your High end HT system with a 1080p projector (whenever you decide to get that)

It would have been more dramatic if Admin ad announced that Rs10,000 prize for you today rather than a few weeks ago

10,000 posts, ie an incredibly a very big figure. Congrats j4k and hope you remain associated with IBF forever. You, along with a few other seniors make IBF a great place.
Like Albert said thanks for sharing some of your pleasant moments. Leave all other black spots in your IBF life. Believe me, we all IBF members rever and respect you, both for your tremendous knowledge and frank attitude.

But more than the number of posts , it is the quality of your articles in "Broadband How to ....." that matter most.
