Thread: When will we have Harry Potter 8 ?

I know there are only 7 books. I have read them all, more than once. I am totally in love with the presentation style and the plot of story. When will we get another one from J K Rowling. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle also tried to end his famous work. But every time fans forced him to write again. Can't we try the same with J K Rowling. Tales of Beedle The Bard was nowhere near HP series.

Do post your views. We can together write a letter to J K Rowling and the publishers. Hope everyone will start doing the same, we get another one in the series or another character just like Harry Potter.

Well She can extend the story but dont you think it will be overkill!! I love HP but I dont think rowling would write another HP related book.

JKR categorically denied that she was going to extend the HP series. If you read the epilogue of The Deathly Hallows, it makes pretty clear that Harry is now at peace at himself:

"The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."

So me thinks that there will be no more HP. JKR did say that she is going to write a sort of "Who's Who" of the magical world going into background details of each characters. This may be interesting to fans, especially of those characters that are not elaborated in the book.

However, JKR may write about something else. Maybe the next generation magicians. Basically, I can't believe that she will spend rest of the life enjoying her money only.

I want here to write if not Harry potter another new character. May or may not about magic world. But I think publishers will put pressure on her and will make her write. After all, they won't like to loose a goose with golden eggs very soon. I wish they do that to her so that we will be able to get benefit from one or her great talents.

I hope that she writes a prequel series of Harry Potter, named as James Potter. Much more can be written about the older characters of the book. More magic, more fun. Kewl.
