Hi

I have decided to make a new blog with some good basic articles on PC and stuff.

Unlike other techno blogs i prefer not to make one coz most of them are just copy/past, hate those stuffs.

regarding that "Send Error Report/Don't Send", I know some things that may surprise you. It is one way to trace illegal software copies and pirated stuff.

but they generally occur when their is issue regarding missing software/hardware.!

how can it be used to trace illegal software copies?

Might be possible due to the error code generated, the error code might contain some system information along with it, isn't it ?

The error report contains a lot of things - the error itself, the serial number of the software, the registered user, the IP address, etc.

Well, thanks for the info though, i'll just have a look at those things and add it to my post.

The error report may or may not contains all those details - it usually does. The target company may or may not be using the report to track piracy - some like Autodesk do.
