so, i am like in a dharm sankat situation....

i got selected in SBI as p.o and jindagi is mast here untill now..

Papa sends me a doc on email, which shows that I am selected for C&AG (CAG) Auditors post, and that i have to submit my docs in 10 days...


now i am like in a fuzzy situation. i am doing good in the bank.. good staff, girls at the counters, but my Father never liked bankers and he wants me to join a reputed Govt department, either it be like C&AG or his department (Income Tax, where is currently Joint Commissioner)..

i am quite fkd up.. please help me..aise hi majak majak mein exam diye the , and i also dont know whats this job all about..
CAG ki to Congress dhajjian uda rahi hai..

aise hi chalta raha to ek din Papa P.M banne ke liye kahange..
itne logon ka samarthan kaha se laoonga???

You applied and don't even know what it does?
The CAG (Controller and Auditor General of India) is the Auditing authority of the Govt of India. Their job involves conducting audit of different Central govt departments and Ministries (civil audit) and audit of PSUs (commercial audit).

As of income Tax dept, visit your father's office.

no i meant, what kind of activities does an Auditor do?

Lock the stable door after the horse has bolted

Assumes something different and says Loss to Govt is 1 lakh 69 thousand crores !! ( which becomes "Gospel Truth" )

IF All GOVT Tenders/contracts/Licenses are PRE audited
( say above 20 Lakhs to start with......and check multiple tenders to beat this limit ...)

Less scams/ kickbacks etc.

Appears Cabinet approval is MUST for all proposals beyond 10 Crores or so, and finally the Minister in Charge of the Dept, and his minions face the music !!!!

ok guys i gave them the docs on 10th...

lets see whats their next wish... i am doing as told by Papa..

Can you sort out a small loan for me? like 50-60 crores that I wont have to pay back? or write it off as subsidy to the poor webmaster of indiabroadband.net )

I won't l switch over from a Public Sector Bank job to a Central Govt
job ( unless in Officer Grade ).

Late PM Indira Gandhi, decentralised the CAG functions, and each Ministry has its own Internal auditors, and CAG takes up only high
profile matters.

Not correct. I can assure you, as far as the Central Ministries are concerned, there are no Internal Audit dept. till date. In fact I myself attended a meeting few months back chaired by the then Expenditure Secretary, because the Finance Ministry was deliberating on creation of an Internal Audit function. As on date, 100% govt. transactions are to be audited by CAG.
PSUs have internal audit and Statutory audit. But even they are subject to regular surveillance audit by CAG.

But I doubt whether mickey would fit into the role of fault-finding machine that CAG people soon become.

yeah thanks i also wanted to mention this but that was essbebe so i didnt comment..


There are different kinds of Mickeys..

What I meant was claims like TA . medical claims etc and petrol/Diesel logs of various Ministries. Only random bills/logs are scrutinised.
The Internal Audit staff also could be from CAG .
like the IT Dept exempting Tax returns upto Rs 5 Lakhs for salaried employees etc.
Any way out of topic , and wish @mickey all the best in his new assignment , if he decides to join CAG.

The problem is not which department to join essbebe. The problem is satisfaction. Bank has good money, but i am not fully satisfied.

i am very confused. time is not going, to come back. if i dont do anything for my country, my life is a wastage.
