Thread: Speed post tracking 'Always helpful'

i had to send an article to my elder brother who resides in Bangalore...


he said the article didnt reach to him even after 6 days (which is max. time ever taken)

so i decided to use the tracking facility.. i know most of you have used it or familiar.. but i have to tell you that Speed post is a Govt. service.. i dont hesitate to send with India post(walking in queues and all that) because they are Govt. agency and very accountable.. private couriers did have some problems earlier while sending to his work place...


the article reached safely to him today in noon

(there were two holidays in between and one sunday, so thats the reason of late reach)

for sending any important document I only trust speedpost.

1. letters : 5/-
2. Inland letters(many people still use them) :2.5/-
3. registered letters national(also tracked like speed post, a little slower service): 22/-
4. Speed post: 12/- for local speed posts. 25/- for national.. (50gms)
5. M.O/eM.O :SIMPLE/ electronic money order, fastest way to send money to a person.. the most legit, the most quicker, the most safe.. reaches the next day by eM.O..
6. post card: 50 paisa. i have seen people still using them..


young people will think all this crap.(many dont even know how to do stuff in post office), but postal department is a lifeline in distant areas... they send letters, post cards, money to the people in such a cheaper way...

accountability..safety..coverage..honest man-power..
