Any one else on our forum intrested in Astrology? Any one with strong knowledge or some one who can guide me where to look and who to go to to learn?

Don't try, there are better things you can do with your time. It is an inaccurate branch of science (if it can be called one). If you check history, even the best astrologists were at bay in predicting things correctly. It takes years of dedication, hard work and practice to get somewhere near a good prediction. Otherwise you will end up like those who tell our fortune for Rs. 10 and gets us in all sorts of trouble if you choose to believe them.

My family is kind of religious and I have good experience in these things to know how inaccurate they are.

Certain aspects of our lives...it is fairly dependent upon how we perceive them.

I use astrology to make a living. I am not a fortune teller. I trade the domestic / international markets. Although I do not make a killing every time I sit to day-trade, I make enough to pay the bills and lead a moderately healthy lifestyle.

Now someone reading the above paragraph may wonder - how is astrology and day-trading related? The general notion that the masses have about the stock markets is that, it is a random process. In some aspects it is true. Someone who has no idea of what is occurring will only see the prices moving around aimlessly. However, it is not so. The price of any tradable entity moves in a preset manner. The gurus have various pet theories for this behavior. It is said that the movement of the price is largely dependent upon the position of the celestial objects. A best example which gels nicely with the discussion is about W.D.Gann. This fabled trader predicted future price movements using price - time relationships. He could convert a mere 300$ to millions within weeks using his methods and trading the stock markets.

Now, I use an alteration of his trading method. This method also utilizes Gann's time / price relationships along with the astrology. Since I am able to make a living by trading the stock markets...I think it has some importance. If it was all hogwash, I would be busy dashing to the office (just like the regular people) at this time, rather than sitting at my home trading the EUR/USD!

It so happens that when people take risks, they find refuge in supernatural powers. I am no one to comment on that, but following astrologer (good ones) has certainly caused me damage than benefit. Even if someone manages to predict things correctly, the chances of inaccuracy are very high.

A provocative argument :

If astrology can predict things correctly, India who has seen great astrologers with kings having access to the best of them would never have been invaded and ruled by Mughals, Portugese, Dutch and British.

As I have posted, I use astrology + price / time cycles to make high probability trading decisions. I do not use the same science to predict future events (although W.D. Gann used the same science both to trade as well as to predict the second world war, the names of the presidents who will get elected in the future in the US).

I see that you have mentioned yourself to be a religious person. Look around you - do you not see the magic of the creator? Everything around us...it has a definite ratio. The golden mean. Nothing has been left to chance by the creator. Anything and everything happens for a reason. And there is a time for every activity in this planet.

I agree that we see many people trying to take others for an expensive ride in the name of astrology. This is one reason why this ancient art is dying slowly. If someone gets fleeced by someone else, the former acts as a natural propaganda against the art. Which is why the modern generation is finding it tough to believe in such sacred sciences.

I was a bit worried about Saturn entering my Rashi on the 15th of Nov as I am going through Shani's maha dasha and was wondering whats instore as I have some major decisions to make in the coming months. Any idea what it means? I have no clue about astrology or you could say extremely basic.

I am afraid I may not be able to help you. It is because I have not yet looked into the art of converting numerals into planetary positions. So it is better to consult some professional astrologer for such matters.

However, give me any market's high / low for the day...I can tell where to expect reversals.

Moser baer and Network 18?

I am long on both. Got Moser baer at 25.70 and Network 18 at 64.45

Any pointers?

Moser Baer:

Resistance zone is 26.46 to 26.76. 26.86 is the breakout level; expect the price to surge higher if it breaks through 26.86.

Support zone is 25.88 to 25.59. 25.50 is the breakdown level; once crossed in a downward manner...expect prices to stay below that point.

Network 18:

Resistance: Between 63.67 and 64.84. Breakout level is 65.23.

Support: Between 61.33 and 60.16. Breakdown level is 59.77.

Exercise deep caution while trading during these tumulus times. These values are valid only for the day.

Saturn entering my Rashi on the 15th of Nov
Which is your RASHI? Tamil magazines usually publish forecast
for each Rashi. General Guidance.

I learnt analysing horosocopes ( only one book ) specifically for
marriage proposals, ( Not mine!)and forgotten all now.
( my memory is poor !)
Generally, the character/traits/interests of a person seem to be
forecast correctly. But day to day/ activities cannot be forecast accurately.

Coming to the point, general belief that SANI ( Saturn) is bad, is not correct. I think there are three periods. The 7 1/2 block will be
troublesome, but in the end normalcy restored. (also PONGU Sani Prosperous period : MANGU sani bad period )

My problem is that in my birth chart I have 4 planets in my 10th house from lagna according to NorthIndian style or the 4th house according to SouthIndian style. I am no expert but according to NorthIndian style the 10th house is closely related to work, profession amongst other things and these 4 planets include : Sun, Saturn, Mercury and Venus
My lagna rashi is Libra and I believe thats where Saturn is heading. I am also 14 years into Shani's Maha dasha and during the transition for me its going to be Sa/Ra/Ju/Ra
Any ideas? Shani is going to whoop my ass isint he?
