Default Planning to change my ISP

    Hello all
Its been a long time since i have last posted something here (its always a long time for me)

Anyways i was thinking to change my ISP, currently i am on Airtel, the only problem/frustration i am facing is the fact that i am getting reduced speeds due to that stupid FUP rule or system.

I have 25 GB of download limit with speeds upto 2 Mbps and after that I suck it up with a sweet and blazingly fast 256 Kbps for the rest of the month which almost gives me a taste as like i am sitting on a dial-up! I am fed up of this..

Price which i am paying is 1199/- plus taxes so the bill comes in b/w the range of 1300-1400/-

While i was doing some research for broadband i found two:
    -- Spectranet spectranet- Solutions-for-you
    -- Reliance Reliance Broadband

Both of the above two ISP's dont have any kind of FUP.

Railwire is not covered in my area and seeing the post by other users in the railwire section, it can't be considered as a good ISP although their plans are very enticing....

It would be very nice if members here can throw some light on this and help me selecting a good ISP

    Thank you

You would have got the ground realities if you cared to mention your location here. Apart from brand name, the performance of ISPs vary hugely from place to place. In some places, Reliance is good and in some other, they may be giving bad service. May be a lot of it affects on the attitude and efficiency of the manager handling the circle.

Not sure about Spectranet, but I personally do not prefer Reliance due to many reasons including feedback I read on the Reliance section. BSNL ULD 1350 gives 4 Mbps till 20 GB and 512 Kbps afterward. But you know how their customer care is.

I think even with a direct ethernet connection from ISP, you can configure WiFi. A friend of mine got a connection where the ISP is giving him an ethernet cable to plugin and this is used on a router to connect to other systems.

Please wait for others to comment.

    PS:

if you cared to mention your location here
    Was neutral tone.
