In the yesteryears, the Govt. more or less controlled the news - despite some challengers (The Indian Express to name one of them).

There was no radio other than AIR. Actually, even today there is no radio - unless you want to call the new FM channels as Radio. The AIR news was more or less government propoganda. It probably continues to be so today - I haven't heard AIR news over a long period.

The government isn't too much worried about TV as a news medium. The TV news channels - well, I don't have to say anything. The intellegentia does not care anyway about TV news.

Next. The print media. At least 50% of the newspapers are owned by politicians. The top ones depend upon the government for smooth functioning and 50% of the ads, Tender Notices, etc.

Finally, the electronic media, i.e., the Internet. Here is where government can't control anything. And this is where Sibbalji laments.

All we need is to get more and more people to use the internet and let the ideas flow freely.
There is a lot of filth in Indian politics. I hope that in the near future we get a system where bribes would be a thing of the past and with politics getting less and less lucrative we will see new faces who would genuinely be interested in making this nation progress.

Congress is the most dirtiest, most filthiest and most corrupt party in the whole world..

1. Drama about Lokpal we all saw..
2. One thing that is not coming out very much in media "Khurshid personally met the Election commissioner "who is also muslim", and discussed about election dates.. what are they proposing?? Vice Presidency/Presidency to him?? both are muslims, and muslims are more organised in this country..
3. Media is a full ****.. two days back Anna Hazare was the king.. Now he subdued the anshan cause of his health, so they say 'Anna is cold now". Media is a filthy-son of this congress and have been doing this for more than 60 years.
4. Congress is saying about Muslim inclusion in various posts and minority reservation.. if this is what they are going to do.. I am going to gang all hindus and flush these bastards(congo chimps) out..

The most important thing which should be taken care of is that the 'ideas' about which we are talking here have to be our own.
I see lots of people sharing different links and comments(mostly pictures) on social networks.
Once i asked one of my friend about his opinion on the subject of which he shared a link.
He said,"There is nothing to do with my own thoughts. I don't know anything about it. There was a sharing option and i just clicked it."
At present time, we can say that information travels at the speed comparable to light. So don't let anyone make you as a medium to spread the wrong and unjust information.
I just want to request you all to Be Yourself

Quoting on religion, caste, etc. is a very sensitive issue (regardless what one feels self). I will say this (and this is my personal opinion and does not reflect the forum's opinion):

Quota/reservations, etc. started with a good intention. But the benefits never reached the real needy. Now it is just sqallid vote grabbing exercise. We have deteriorated our own standards and merits. The lack of opportunities, license-raj and then added with the draconian reservations system forced talent to move out of the country. TN was one of the early states that went overboard with reservation with the result that Tamil Brahmins had no option but to seek employment elsewhere.

Reservations and job security has caused the government bodies to become disfunctional, chaotic, beauracratic and therefore full of corruption. No one is accountable in the government offices. I could go on and on but I hope I have clarified the gyst.

but this couldnt be stopped either. untill the day the needy public throws out these greedy politicians off board. reservation is so much now the part of our politics that even muslims have started to ask for it, while whole system of Islam is based on the belief that casteism which is a "feature" of hinduism is a "evil" thought, this means they too find it easier with parties like congress because they really don't have to ask for it, but vote bank became such a menace today.

People must think before they act.
