In India, Flipkart.com is the leader in online store. I have purchased manytimes and the service is too good. Recent purchase was my Canon printer. IT delivered within two days of time.

No doubt flipkart is very good but prices in India especially for electronics is very high. Have a look at my thread: http://indiabroadband.net/showthread.php?p=327941

Depends on what you want to buy

Apart from the above mentioned sites, even jabong.com is also good (that's what I've heard).

There are several online shopping portals in India. If you are planning to buy something in apparel, jewellery, cosmetics or accessories then Shoppers Stop has the best collection for them. Their shopping portal offers excellent payment options and free delivery services

Online shopping is increasingly becoming popular these days. Number of websites selling stuffs are available over the internet. Some of them offers Discounts too. Well! we can go for any of the website offering Dicount. For Coupons and discount i usually use couponcodebazaar.c om It provides all the recent discounts and offers of popular shopping sites.

I would not recommend Flipkart anymore. There was a time when Flipkart was good, but now its gone bad, they have become re sellers as well as selling their own products and on top of that the recent sale of theirs has shown bad signs. Flipkart has actually raised prices and then shown the original price as a discount.

Amazon is much better than Flipkart, it is a reputed site and genuine. Even they have started their sales from today, I haven't looked at their site but it is supposed to be a big sale.

I don't trust online sites as much now, during sales they hike their prices if its not everything then its don't on most products, its better off going to a store and getting things. I had a look at the Amazon sale today and seriously talking I really don't think that they have put things on sale and instead done the same thing as Flipkart by increasing the original price.

I have seen a lot of complaints recently for online shopping sites, which would put of any person. I generally stay away when it comes to online shopping, unless if I know it is something which would be genuine and not have a fault in it.

To be honest, I am a short girl with big thighs. So, it's really hard for me to shop online. I can maybe shop for shirts, but I can never shop for jeans. The problem is, say I'm a size 8 in Tilly's, I would be a size 10 in Old Navy. So you see, jeans with me is very complicated. I am just afraid to buy shirts online, because I feel like they won't fit me when I actually try it on. I can find shirts online that I like then go to the store and find it. The only things that I buy online, are shoes and jewelry. Maybe I can buy hair products, but other than that, clothes online for me is a disaster.

Online shopping is certainly becoming more and more popular, and a lot of stores are deciding to close down their bricks and mortar stores and concentrate solely on their online operations.

When shopping online, one of the biggest issues is security and with that in mind, it's best to use the online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay or even play.com depending what it is you need to buy.

I have used only eBay.com till now and I am very much satisfied with their service. They are very prompt and credible. There were instances when the intended product was not available when I already made the payment. They promptly returned the money to my credit card before the due date. Their service is excellent

I heard that Flipkart was the new heartthrob in online marketing arena. But nowadays they lost their charm and no more having any attractive deals with them. Jabong is much better than Flipkart in service and there are a lot of choices available.

I actually prefer Amazon to eBay these days to be honest. I think Amazon has took the best parts of eBay and integrated their own ideas into the site. It's better laid out and easier to navigate also and that might seem only a minor detail, but it does make a big difference.

and, a major plus point of amazon over ebay is - the ease of getting your products returned/replaced.
but still, for many 'chillar' items, ebay still is a more varied and bigger marketplace, and offers some good discount (coupons) from time-to-time, unlike amazon, though the latter seems to be catching up to it (listing a variety of items).

Your right, the return and refund policy in place by Amazon is second to none, and that even includes shops you visit in the high street.

Any problem you have with an item or payment you can open a ticket with Amazon support and they are very quick to resolve your query no matter what it might be.

As to online shopping, I prefer Amazon and eBay. Aside from the fact that it is popularly used, products with this site are dependable. There is no doubt, these sites are the most common online shopping site because of its reputation in the industry of e-commerce.

i've recently had very good experiences shopping with amazon, jabong, flipkart, for multiple products as well as returns/refund. jabong is also offering some very nice discounts - already discounted prices as well as offers like flat 250/- off on purchase of above 999/-, 30% off on purchase of above 1299/-, etc.

I am not sure if Amazon or eBay works fine in your country but I do think these two were great sites. In SouthEast Asia, there's Lazada but not sure if it is working there in India.

I think that most countries in the world will have access to sites such as Amazon and Ebay and thats why theyre so popular. The only issue that some people might find is that the payement processors arent accepted ans so that could limit the appeal.

That could possibly be the problem. So it would be good if you are going to use Amazon and eBay, make sure to use payment processors that are accepted there. Whenever I shop online, I check the payment method and I avail one. So far, haven't had problem shopping online. Maybe because of accessibility.

Also shipping can be a problem and in the past I've gone to order something without taking note of where the product is being shipped from. I've gone to checkout and realised that the postage and packing cost is more than the actual item itself.

Amazon has been providing great services nowadays. Other online sites that I believe are doing great business are Jabong, Myntra and Flipkart. I don't find Snapdeal and eBay much trustworthy. I have had bad experiences with these websites in the past. Talking about only grocery shopping, I am a big fan of Big Basket! I am a regular customer of this site. Do give it a try friends.

I heard about Flipkart and I think it also works in my country. Maybe I will try that one too. But the most popular here now is Lazada, which is also popular in some parts of South East Asia.
