Earthquake in Delhi

There was a massive Earthquake here in Delhi about 5 mins ago and it went on for more then 10 seconds I would say and I was on the 5th floor and this building was shaking like a matchbox. I did feel for a second that this was it

I hope every one in North India is safe. Just paying to God that no one would get hurt.

Even I felt it and it was really scary one, measuring 4.2 on Richter Scale.

The epicentre must have been very close to Delhi because I felt like the world was going to end. It was very strong.

It made me jump out of my bed, had to run towards the main door

It was felt in some parts of North India only, so must be somewhere near to New Delhi, I know that it always gives 2 shocks so m awake to feel the second shock too.

The tremors, measuring 4.9 on the Richter Scale with Haryana's Bahadurgarh as epicentre, were felt across Delhi and its adjoining satellite towns of Ghaziabad and Noida in Uttar Pradesh at a 1:11 PM, the MeT office said. The quake took place nine km below the surface.

In comparison, tremors felt in the capital on September 18 last year following an earthquake having its epicentre near Sikkim-Nepal border had an intensity of 6.8 on the Richter Scale.
