Default Can someone suggest me a good laptop?

I have been using the HCL laptop which I got as a gift through my friends. Its kind of become too old and wanted to switch to another brand, as I did not like HCL at all with my usage so far. Can someone suggest me a good laptop, better on price and value. My budget is around 50-60 K for it, not more than that. I heard Lenovo was good, any other suggestions?

Well, I recently bought this new laptop after my Toshiba A75 crapped out after 5 years. It had some problem with the design causing the CD power jack to go back after a while. Anyway, just bought this HP dv6000 for about 900 USD and it's amazing. It's not a giant beast (you know what I'm talking about. Those 12 pound laptops with a batter that lasts for an hour) and it can handle PC game ok.

A lot of my friends have HPs as well, so I would strongly recommend you to looking into one. They're great machines.

In the last 10 years I have spent a fortune buying the latest and good laptops in the market every two years and have now realised that its a complete waste of money.. I suggest you go for an average laptop which shouldnt cost more then Rs30000 with a decent config Coz however good a laptop be it will be outdated in a couple of years and will make you look like an idiot spending lakhs on a laptop which will be a thing of the past in two years and you will be able to buy the same thing at 25% of what you spend now..

Yeah I agree with you , its like Mobile Phones, never spend more than $200 as new models are coming up every single month and you will get owned and will be looking for the latest gadgets

Technology is advancing day after day , in order to follow it , you must be son of Bill Gates

Yeah. You guys are spot on there. You really have three choiced when it comes to keeping up with technology :

1. Buy a new computer every year to two to keep up
2. Buy an amazing computer for a lot of money every 3 or 4 years
3. Get an Ok computer and accept the fact you can't always be on top.

I used to choose #2, but now I'm a #3 kind of guy. =)

On site warranty means that if something goes wrong with your laptop you don't have to take it to the shop or service center, they will come to your place to repair it.
