Has anyone heard of the theory that the world will end on the 21st December 2012?

I havent heard something like that but I know the reason why!

21st December 2012 = 21 12 2012 so the date will be 2012 2012

There have been thousand of this combinations and here we are , the world is growing

These theories are just garbage some crazy people make up. Remember Y2K?

Don't buy into this crap.

Its not some garbage like Y2K, it is a prediction from the ancient Mayan civilisation.

We cannot predic the date in which the world is going to come to an end, instead one thing is sure that it is going to come to an end at least before this century, because of global warming and other natural calamities which the humans have created man-made and hence leading to destruction of our own home, the earth.

Trust me. We will be the causes for the End of the World. We people are polluting the world and forming hole in the Hydrosphere (lol, I'm not great in Geography. Telling what I read). Start polluting more and expect the end of the world by 2010 itself [Just kidding]

I did not agree with this prediction. I know this date comes from the Mayan calendar, which many believe says that the end of time is 2012. This is an incorrect interpretation of the Mayan perception of time. It is the end of an age in 2012. The Mayans had a 52 year cycle, much like we have a 100 year cycle. The date of 2012 is the end of one age, and the beginning of another.
