Rep Power: 12 | Sorry mate I am not too good at choosing hardware but from the config both of them look good with very marginal difference in the processing power which you would hardly feel while using. Any hardware tycoons among us here? would love to hear from you |

| Platinum Member | As Admin said there is very little difference. Are you going to travel a lot with this laptop? If yes then be wary of the weight. My office has provided me with Lenovo R60. With the laptop, equipment, power adapter and cords, the whole ensemble weighs nearly 4 kg. I travel a lot and this kills by shoulder and bag. Acer Aspire 4720 with 4 USB ports sounds good to me otherwise.

Rep Power: 12 | Forgot to mention : I have learned the hard way.. do not spend too much on a laptop as it will go obsolete within a year or so and you'll be looking to buy another one again .. and as we all know there is hardly any resale value of a laptop.. I have 5 laptops which I dont use and I hate to think about the fortune I have spent in them over the years I don't suggest spending more then Rs25-30000 in any case. Go for the cheapest of the cheapest which would do the job with ease and wont hit your pocket too hard either.. unless you are one of those high flying execs (which I am not) who earn in millions Most people use laptops to check e-mails and send messages on the go and do some accounting while away and for that purpose a 20 grand laptop will be like using a truck to carry a bag of popcorn .. all in all.. dont spend a lot of money on a laptop. |

| Platinum Member | You are so correct. I never purchased a laptop till date ... leave it to the corporates, I say. Individuals should buy laptops only if it makes strong professional compulsions. Otherwise stick with desktops that will last at least 4 years. |
