    Default Benazir Bhutto shot dead

Just heard the news that Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated when she was returning from an election rally in Rawalpindi near Islamabad. She was shot at five times and then a suscide bomber blew himself up near her car killing atleast 30 people including Benazir Bhutto.

Pakistan has really gone to the dogs I hate to imagine the fate of Pakistan and with that an end of peace talks with India.

I am pretty sure that the elections will be postponed in Pakistan and even if they take place they will not be fair elections and Musharfar will remain in power.

I dont mind who ever comes to power my only concern is stability in Pakistan as an unstable Pakistan means more terrorist activities and infiltration into India.

Its really hard for me to understand what on earth can make some one do a sucide attack and what kind of motivation is behind these kind of attacks.. Some one really has to be insane to do anything like this.

Yes, I too saw that on TV now. I was shocked to see that news. As this was the second attempt on her life and was even shocking to hear that the bomber came in a bike and shot at her and blew himself away! I was surprised at the security given to her.

Those were two different people.. One who shot at her five times came on a bike but the guy who blew himself up was a different guy.

Pakistan has really gone to the dogs Wont they be better off if they were a part of India?
At least those in Pakistan would get better education if they were a part of India and have more fair elections and have a better law and order situation there.
Not that I am in favor of India attacking Pakistan or anything like that.. I respect the sovereignty of Pakistan although I hate the fact that its a separate country.
    Just my 2 cents

Benezir was the best hope for betterment of India-Pakistan relations - not that it would have happened; but definitely a hope.

The people/group that killed her believed her to be pro-America and hence a threat to themselves. It is indeed a sad event.
