Thread: Can India & China be Bhai Bhai Again?

With the recent outlook of relationship between india and china it looks as though, both india and china are going to be bhai-bhai again. THanx to the ruling government now, which has been very much interested in improving the relationship with the neighbours and others (fearing economy will go down if we fought), china is coming closer to india, which is good news i suppose or am i wrong?

This "Bhai Bhai" business is rubbish. We need to protect our interests and others protect their own. These are the days of fundamental capitalism, consumerism, market orientied economy, etc. The days of Nehru and his brand of socialism are long past - it was a flawed policy and the mistake was compounded by Indira Gandhi who brought stateism into it. We must co-operate but we don't have to be pretend to be brothers. I am all for improving relations with our neighbours, incl Pakistan. We must increase bilateral trade and trade is good. But as any expert will tell, business should be conducted by the brain and not the heart.
