| Platinum Member  |  Rate your Banks I deal with the following banks: State Bank of India, ICICI, ABN-Amro, Bank of Maharashtra and UCO Bank. This is how I rate them: 0 = worst, 5 = Excellent X = Not Available or Never Used or Unknown SBI: In-branch service = 4, No. of branches = 5, No. of ATMs and Locations = 3, Telephone Banking = X, Net Banking = X, Trust in Bank = 5, Overall = 4 ICICI: In-branch service = 0, No. of branches = 1, No. of ATMs and Locations = 4, Telephone Banking = 2, Net Banking = 5, Trust in Bank = 4, Overall = 3 ABN-Amro: In-branch service = 5, No. of branches = 0, No. of ATMs and Locations = 2, Telephone Banking = 4, Net Banking = 5, Trust in Bank = 2, Overall = 2 Bank of Maharshtra: In-branch service = 3, No. of branches = 4, No. of ATMs and Locations = 2, Telephone Banking = X, Net Banking = X, Trust in Bank = 3, Overall = 3 UCO Bank: In-branch service = 4, No. of branches = 3, No. of ATMs and Locations = 1, Telephone Banking = X, Net Banking = X, Trust in Bank = 1, Overall = 1 Please rate your bank. If there are other factors that you wish to add, please do. Thanks. p/s: I know that now you can use any ATM for most banks. But the ATM vote has been given on bank owned ATMs

Rep Power: 2  | I would vote for Citibank for all the services that they offer. Almost all of them are above par for me personally and i would say that HDFC Bank is the worsest among the banks, personally. |

But guess what? The DD will go to the nearest Citi branch for realization. Suppose you are in Mumbai and you send a CitiBank draft to someone in Ballia, Bihar, your folks would submit it to in their Ballia bank and then that bank will send it to Calcutta or New Delhi for collection. So it is not all gung-ho. This is what I meant by in-branch service and number of branches. When there are no branches there is no service. | |
