Default IPL Teams and Players the new millioinaires

The recent IPL's auction on players had proved that where cricket is heading these days! It shows how much money is involved with cricket, especially in India only. I wonder IPL will have the same interest among the indian public who has a history of ignoring their domestic games totally and also with the fact that the indian national thing is missing in ipl. I wonder the cricket fan will welcome ipl or will send it packing soon!

I really dont think IPL leage will be that successful. Becoz we Indian are habited of seeing the Team India & no the locals clubs. Also the inter Torunament like Ranji is not also that famous. but it may catch some limelight, initially coz of the lot of money invloved in it.

BTW i love playing Crcicket than just watching it. so packing soon from my point.

IPL was started to counter ICL. This kind of 'circus' is not bound to succeed because there is no firm foundation other than earning quick bucks. Such ventures rarely succeed. This may run for 3/4 years.

p/s I hope, I do not have to eat my shoes.

But you Should note one point, big corporates like DLF, Reliance, JP poured the big amount of money in that. I really don't think they are that kiddie to invest in a business of short life. I don't think any business can generate that strong Revenue in the first year itself". But still BCCI played a kind of gamble & if it is to get success, then we can have the craze for local cricket clubs, like the Europe Football clubs have. But in gamble, u need a luck more than anything.

BTW just imagine a situation like Shaoib Akhtar (the feki bowler) balling to Dhoni, I mean to whom indians support? Of course Dhoni, no matter he plays for Chennai or Kolkata. How much i hate the indian cricket team, but i am not gonna Support Shoaib Akhtar. That way U can Imagine Harbhajan & Symonds. U see people will get into a kind of confusion : Support Whom? lol

What more to hate indian cricket and these type of IPL is the fact that they have been ruining other sports to its roots. There have been instances where the hockey players were paid Rs. 1000 per goal they hit and they will be deducted Rs. 2000 if they conceed a goal. Imagine where they are and indian cricket is going. All money is being poured into cricket while all other sports in india is suffering like anything. This should be controlled (again this will not happen, as cricket is being controlled by politicians). Only way to stop cricket from being growing further is by stop watching and supporting Indian Cricket Team (or is it BCCI Cricket Team). Media also plays a major role in hyping these below par cricketers of india and make them hero but in reality they are nothing but zeroes!

I used to be a great fan of cricket but I am fed up with Indian cricket now with all these hype and money involved in the game.
