Thread: What do you expect from the general budget?

Another year has come where the general budget is going to be submitted by p. chidambaram. He has always been termed as a stock-market finance minister and tend to put a lot of burden to the salaried class and give lots of concessions to rich people! Let's see what new tax he has come up with for the salaried class this year!

I would love to see all the subsidies to be done away with this time... but thats not going to happen given the elections which are due soon.

Its going to be a populist budget to get that edge in the upcoming elections and thats going to screw the economy.. its the same old story.

P Chidambram ( I cant spell) is one of the best FM's India has ever seen and has been doing a very good job.. as far as burden on salaried people.. what exactly are you talking about? Its more or less a market economy with government doing away with control of the market forces day by day which all spells into development and coming in of FII's and institutional investors which is all good for the economy.

What i am trying to say here is that chidambaram always burden the middle class salaried people in india and let off the high end people who earn crores and crores of money with lots of concessions with them. Every year there has been an increase in income tax for salaried people and every year, that stupid so-called, service tax also increases burdening the middle class!
