| Platinum Member | hello their i have question regarding free download manager ......while i am downloading my download speed gets to 0 and the downloading stops despite my internet connection is working fine i am not able to figure out the problem..i am using BSNL broadband UL900 plus and sometimes get speeds of 800-900 B/s simply amazing i am just stumped to see that and i doubt that whether i am using a broadband connection or a narrowband connection ...i am just stumped.......plz help regarding download manager |

make sure that in the download options under network tab - traffice usage mode put it to heavy mode, max number of connections to 60 and max number of connection per server to 12, uncheck if you have checked decrease traffic usage when browsing In the network optimization master under the options menu set the set the connection to 10/100 MB LAN, apply these settings and let me know if the speed improves | |

| Platinum Member | i cant say that the speed is improved or not ..i have another question how do i bring a file to my destination folder if the download is broken for eg i am downloading something the connection breaks and the file is downloaded say 70% so, is there a way to view that file ..i am supposing that i am downloading a video file RM plz help |

Rep Power: 2 | As far as free download manager is concern you cannot open that file because, free download manager like any other download accelerator cuts the files in to smaller segments and download so if the segment are not put together then it cannot be viewed still you want to view that incomplete file then you need to the folder where you had asked to save the file and then in the folder options choose "show hidden files" The free download manager would hide the file until the download is complete |
