Thread: Quality of stabilizers

People use to make a lot of research and surveys before purchasing valuable house hold electrical/electronics appliances but at the same time not taking that much research while purchasing stabilizers. The main culprit for the damage of electronics appliances is the substandard voltage stabilzers.

Comments/ suggetions/ review of leading stabilizers in Indian market Plz.........

The only stabilizer that is good is one which has CVT (Constant Voltage Transformer) or a Variator. All others are basically crap.

In my opnion stabilizers from Servokon are exceptionally good here i am talking about the Servokon Servo series as these stabilizers dont have any realy system instead there is some motor which does the job giving you 100% steady and constant supply of 220V but
....................... they are very costly amounting to rs 8k or above for 5KVA i am not sure about the price

As in my home we have just bought a voltage stabilizer from Logicstat(5KVA) which is a pretty steal deal and overall quality is also good with a bypass switch which means if you want to put a greater load than the capacity of the stabilizer then just simply switch on the bypass switch, it also has a MCB attached to it which so when there is a greater load (greater than its capacity) then the MCB trips automatically but you have to resume it manually
it also has so called triple step technology which increases the voltage in three steps dont know much about this and it costs only rs4200/- with 5years warranty!!! a steal deal
