Default Our forum got hacked
I had to use a backup which was taken about 24 hours ago due to this hack whcih happened about 4 hours ago.

Unfortunately we have lost all the posts which were made during the last 24 hours.

This also means that I will have to spend another 4-5 hours doing all the customization again

Why would someone do this to this forum? we dont even bash any country here or even talk about politics.. and I am hoping that no one takes offence when I tell the truth about sify.

I will take backups every 6 hours from now on.

Yesterday, I had one of the 'free-est' days. I think I posted near about 55 posts. Quite a few of them were some tips to sort problems out.

Just who in the fu** is doing all this what is his IP address admin check in your server log files and do let us know!!
and one more thing where the hell is skap he is a security analyst expert!! so i think he will help this forum to increase security!

I have checked the logs but there is nothing we can do about this. I have done a few things which will prevent this from happening again.

yaa thats correct but i m still confused why everthing is Made In China...

admin bhai you know i lost my wallet n lost everything in it.. like my credit card, debit card, DL, PAN n bike ka RC too.. :-((

That sucks man too bad... its so much hassel getting every little thing made up again

Make sure you call up your credit card and debit card provider coz if you dont its not covered under their insurance and you might end up paying a lot o money if some one uses it. When you do call them up to report this loss make sure you get a reference number from them and keep a note of it.
