********
Problem is effing ugly looking ISPs are not providing us good technology in india... there is damn cheap ISP provider on all over the world... We are IT Genius People :P and why the hell we are far behind those foreigner ! :cursing:
My some Group frnds have 2TeraBite FTPS ! and Members are downloading @ around 800/1000KBPS ! thats make me damn effing jealous :cursing:
I am voting for BSNL because of the following reasons:
- BSNL plans offer more value for money
- Most (all?) other ISP do not allow free night time download - please note the word free - I know that some ISP's provide night time unlimited download by paying extra
- When it comes to unlimited plans, once again BSNL outscores everyone.
- If you are living in small societies or single block of apartments and Airtel/Reliance/etc. have not reached/covered your area, chances are that BSNL will be the quickest to provide a connection
- In rural areas, BSNL is the only ISP. Others do not care to venture there.
- Plan speeds are very much as per promised in BSNL (same with Airtel too)
- I depend upon landline more than on my cell. BSNL Landline is best for many toll free (1-800) numbers and international dialing. The BSNL plans that offer landline fee waiver with most home broadband plans are perfect for me.
If I were to do all over again and had a choice, I will go for BSNL. 90% of the times there is no choice. For instance, in spite of living in the heart of the city and that too a major city such as Pune, the three major private players viz. Reliance, Airtel, Tata Indicom expressed their inability to provide me a connection.
