    LAPTOP COOLING PAD - INDIA

Hi Dear Forum Experts and friends...

I need your valuable inputs and help.

    # I am having one Acer Laptop and it gets automatically shut down. The most probable reason that I could identify is that it gets very heated -- the hard disk etc and therefore autoshuts.

I am thinking of purchasing one LAPTOP COOLING PAD...

    Few Points:

    1. I am looking for something which can be purchased locally in India (most preferably in Kolkata itself).
    2. Something which is best value for money.
    3. If premium brand is available like antec cooling pad or anything similar please suggest that.

Please let me know the choices available in the Indian Market and the advantages / disadvantages.

This is a little urgent as I am unable to use the laptop for even 1 hour continuously. Thanks for ur time and help.

    Thanks for ur inputs.

    Regards

Before investing in all that crap have you looked into your machine? does it need a bit of cleaning? open the fan thing and vaccume the dust out 99% of the times in India its the dust which causes this issue.

If you are not very good at hardware take it to someone who is and he/she will clean it for you.

Laptops and even desktops need cleaning from time to time.

Ive been using laptops for years now and have used a lot of different brands and this issue only occurs while I am in India for a few months and all it takes is a bit of cleaning.

Trust me you dont need any cooling pad ( Ive never heard of it before )

Yes. Your problem is too much dust inside the laptop. Get it professionally cleaned.

yeah so true Acer laptops have this disease of getting heated up!! inspite of cleaning!

    @Admin
Cooling pad is nothing but a fibre sheet with three 120 mm fans fitted on it probably there are three fans fitted on it and it is USB powered.
