Who IS BEST?
aXXo
FXG
hmm very nice question... i think axxo is better than fxg..
as i like the picture quality of axxo...
Both are OK for computer viewing only.
Here are my own test results.
a) I downloaded "Titanic" via torrent (aXXo XVid format).
b) I burnt the movie to disc
c) Popped in the CD in the DVD player and turned on the amp and projector
d) Video quality, while better than VCD, was way-way inferior to DVD. Note that movie played great on my laptop.
e) No digital surround sound - only stereo. No AC3, Dolby Digital or DTS.
Hence I generally do not waste my bandwidth on downloading movies. I may have downloaded at most some 8~10 movies till date.

I do not have HD TV. What I have is an HD-ready (720p) projector and I watch movies on a screen that is 8' x 4.5' (widescreen).
I am not too much concerned about the video quality than the absence of Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Without surround sound, watching modern movies is a big let down.
Hi friend, I am comparing aXXo DVD-Rip to a DVD - it is not fair to compare with TV broadcast. I have ripped some DVDs to DVD (using DVD Shrink - DVD-DL 9.4 GB to DVD-SL 4.7 GB) and I can tell you that:
- there is only a slight loss in video quality
- there is no loss in digital surround sound.
Hence I do not prefer DVix/XVid.
