    Default Best Image Viewer Application

    Whats the best image viewing application, where you can edit pictures too.

    With the basic which is in all computers you can change the effects in many ways which is good, but as soon as you have Microsoft installed the Microsoft viewer works and the other one gets vanished.

    So need some which can allow me to edit images and get good effects.

    If you are not a pro at editing images then Google picasa would be a good option and its free to use.

    c m image viewer becomes the default program to open the particular file type, so if you want to use another one you have to go the properties and select the default program.

    i sugg- turbo photo, its cool and easy

    i think picasa is the better option for image editing... as there are lot many good options available and its really very easy to use software... there are no complex things to do something strange... so you can use it easily and it dont require any skills or help to start up with..

    Irfan View is the best image viewer + editor. You can use plugins to add extra function. I use the default Microsoft Picture and Fax viewer. And Photoshop for editing purpose.

    There are a lot of choices, but another question is that which application has the most options for editing pictures, picasa is good, but they don't have the embossing or sketching option............!

    And most Photo studios (commercial) use Photoshop ....

    Bear with me a moment ...i ll paste the URL

    I use Windows Live photo gallery ...which is like Picasa ..for basic cropping and photoshop for advanced ...There is also Faststone ,Irfan View,GIMP etc...

    Training classes can only teach you the basics. You can learn the basics from training classes and use tutorials to improve your self. There is one more tutorial site Tutorialized. It's more like a tutorial search engine. You can find any Photoshop tutorials you want in there.

    Training classes are for people who are into

    -->professional photography

    -->Who have time to attend classes and want a certification course(mostly college studs come in this category)

    -->Planning to open a commercial venture

    In training classes as Vish said you get to learn only Basic stuff ....Not useful in my opinion
