Wanted to know whether torrent download speed is dependent on the Bitorrent Client (uTorrent, Vuze or Limewire, etc) we use....

How can i get that much speed???? Can anyone explain to me the logic behind it
My present speed when downloadibg are between 30-35kb/s. Even if i get 256kb/s then its quite good
    They were promising 3000kb/s.

Speed is almost the same no matter which torrent client you use. So the only thing matters is the features each torrent client supports. µTorrent supports all the essential features. µTorrent is also light weight and uses minimum system resources .You can get the same features on Vuze/Azureus using plugins. It uses a lot of system resources compared to utorrent. If you want to download torrent you should use a torrent client(a popular one). AIO softwares are not recomended. I recommend µTorrent v1.6 or µTorrent v1.7.7 (ignore the security warning if you download from a popular/trusted source). I use Halite. It have the most important features that µTorrent have. And uses even less system resources than µTorrent.

There is no need to change if you no how to use Vuze. The reason why I don't like it is because. Even with the help of speed up guides it took me almost 15 minutes to configure Vuze. And it only took me less than 1 minutes to configure µTorrent. And I didn't like Vuze's inteface. But still give µTorrent a try. Don't use version 1.8 stable. It won't allow you to cap the upload speed.

    hi sachy24,
download/upload speeds of seedboxes depend on which ones choose. Usually they are hi speed 10-100 Mbit range. AFAIK, there are no seedbox facility in india but the location of seedbox is immaterial.

On a 256kbps connection you will get 256 kbps only. u see after u download the files to ur seedbox through torrents you have to transfer it to your system by ftp/http.and this transfer will be done at 256kbps only. however the main use of seedbox is for uploading and improving ratio which you cant do on BSNL 256kps unlimited or Rs500 (2Mbps night unlimited).

Just going by numbers 500 rs night unlimited gives more data transfer.
For ex. on a 256 kbps unlimited (BSNL) scheme you can download
    one day (24h) : 256kbps*60*60*24 /(1024^2*8)= 2.63GB
    one month : 2.63*30=79.08GB

    On a 2 Mbps night-unlimited (BSNL) [6 hrs free]scheme you can download one day (24h) : 2000kbps*60*60*6 /(1024^2*8)= 5.14GB
    one month : 5.14*30=154GB

So you can download double the amount.Although free hours is 4 times less, download speed is 8 times more.

However the disadvantages of 2Mbps are
1.2Mbps is guaranteed only if bandwidth is free
    2.Its in nighttime

But scheduled FTP transfers from seedbox can overcome this and in chennai atleast I have no problem maxing out 2Mbps at night

I myself am looking for torrenting on seedboxes but they are not cheap. And I would like to share the costs with others, PM me if you or others are interested.

Well, I should say seedboxes now may be an issue, definitely!
I've been using seedbox services for more then year now, as far as I remember I started from small shared ones, from dentoo.info if I'm not mistaken, but it was complete crap and waste of money. I've started searching for a dedicated ones as became a member of different private trackers were ratio is quite important. Have been advising few companies and I gave a try to one of them seedbox.org.ua, and they blown me away that's for sure, I'm using their SX20+ dedicated 1 Tb plan for a few months now and uploading in average 300-500 Gb per day
So, do not be cheap, search for dedicated seedboxes with high level service for reasonable price.
